On Sunday, April 1, the 15 Francis St. entrance to Brigham and Women’s Hospital will close to pedestrians and vehicles for approximately two years for the construction of the Brigham Patient Parking Garage. During that time, employees will be able to enter and exit the building through a temporary entrance off Huntington Avenue. The new doorway leads employees through the back of Carrie Hall and onto the Nesson Pike. Patients and visitors will be redirected to the 45 or 75 Francis St. entrances.
As part of an electrical upgrade, power will be shut down from March 30 at 11 p.m. to March 31 at 4:30 p.m. in in the following areas: ASB II, mid campus, Thorn Building, MRB, B-Building, A-Building, PBBH, Scanner/MRI, Carrie Hall, and the clinics building. Emergency power will be available, and red outlets will have power.
When the 406-space parking garage opens in 2014, it will be completely underground and capped with a landscaped park. Click here for construction updates and more information.
