BWH operators, including Amanda Letteney, left, and Maxine Bradley, answered more than 1.4 million calls to the BWH main number between February 2008 and January 2009. In addition, operators also handle an average of more than 300 code calls per month, meaning the phones literally are ringing off the hook. The Call Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with 30 operators ensuring every call makes it to its destination.
