High school girls learned about maintaining their own health and pursuing health careers at last week’s “Teen Voices: A Day at the Brigham.” Stavonnie Henderson, MD, resident in the Department of Medicine, organized the day-long event for the students, who write and edit submissions for Teen Voices, a biannual magazine published by Women’s Express, Inc. The publication accepts submissions from girls across the country and focuses on health, teen motherhood, drug use and other issues affecting young women. Their day at the Brigham covered sexually transmitted diseases and healthy eating.
