Paula Johnson, MD, MPH, chief of the Division of Women’s Health and executive director of the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology, today received an Excellence in Women’s Health Award from the Jacobs Institute of Women’s Health. Johnson joined Janet Lawson, MD, FACOG, director of the Office of Women’s Health for the Texas Department of Health, and Carol Evans, founder and president of Working Mother Media, in receiving this prestigious distinction at the Excellence in Women’s Health Awards luncheon in Washington, D.C.
The Jacobs Institute, which annually recognizes leaders in women’s health, is a nonprofit organization working to improve health care for women through research, dialogue and information dissemination. The organization is fast becoming the nation’s leading think tank on women’s health care policy.
