Improved MBTA Transportation Services for LMA MASCO is proud to announce improved transportation services from the MBTA for Longwood Medical Area commuters. Improved transportation services, include: • Additional stops at Yawkey Station, on the Framingham/Worcester line at 7:56 a.m. inbound and 6:28 p.m. outbound; • Two car Green Line trains arriving at the Longwood stop on the D Line at 7:30 a.m., rather than at 7:50 a.m.; • An additional two-car train added to the E Line during peak periods as of January 1; and • Three-car service operating during peak periods on the D Line as resources allow.
On-Site Parking Rate Increase For those employees who park in the Mission Park, Servicenter, Harvard, One Brigham Circle, 375 Longwood Avenue, Mass College of Pharmacy, PBB, Smith Building and Children’s locations parking rates were adjusted, effective Sunday, January 2, as a result of the continued and uncontrollable rise in rental costs to BWH by private owners. The increase equates to an additional $4.72 per week. Contact the BWH Parking & Security office with any questions or concerns at ext. 2-6001.
Shuttle Notice for M2: Cambridge-LMA MASCO has recently added a drop-off only stop for The Harvard Inn T Stop at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Bow Street. Passengers will need to signal the driver when departing the shuttle at this new stop. Along with the new stop, a new M2 outbound route to accommodate Harvard Affiliates at the Landmark Center will change as of Feburary 1, 2005. The new route will begin from Louis Pasteur and turn right on Longwood Avenue, and then turn right on Brookline Avenue, with a stop at Brookline and The Fenway, Emmanuel T stop, bear right onto Boylston Street, take a left on the Boker Overpass to the down ramp and then right on Commonwealth Avenue. Passengers boarding at the Simmons and the Museum stops will now have to pick up the bus at the Vanderbilt bus stop, and all M2 passengers will board on the Vanderbilt side of Louis Pasteur at the current drop-off location. The schedule frequency will not be affected by this change. Call 617-632-2800 with any questions.
