Nearly 100 existing and potential members of the Friends of Brigham and Women’s Hospital attending a special carnival-themed breakfast on December 1 at the Ritz Carlton in Boston sponsored by the Friends. The event featured the North American debut of Paris-based painter Roberto Garcia-York’s unique and extraordinary costumes for the annual Venice Carnival. To compliment the delicious menu, Michael and Kohar Allen (pictured above, left), owners of the Frame Gallery in Brookline, lent the festive costumes. Pictured above are the Allens and Friends President Ardell Otten (right) admiring one of the more elaborate costumes. The Friends of BWH is a volunteer organization whose membership consists of donors, patients, physicians, staff and friends who are committed to raising awareness, promoting the hospital’s mission and raising funds for the hospital through various activities.
