“Know now what you want your life to mean, what you want your legacy to be, and imbue those thousands of days between now and then with the actions and the values that will reap what you seek to harvest in your life.”
These were the words Dennis Thomson, late vice president of Public Affairs, imparted upon his colleagues. They became the foundation of a program named in his honor that seeks to identify those individuals who will continue to live up to Thomson’s creed of compassionate care and carry his message forward.
The 2002 Dennis Thomson Compassionate Care Scholar Program is currently accepting nominations until March 31, 2002. Please take the time to consider nominating a deserving clinician who embodies the tenets of compassion and give them the unique opportunity to foster compassionate care within the BWH community.
For more information or to nominate a Compassionate Care Scholar call Wendy Martinez at ext. 2-6426 or visit BWHPikeNotes at http://healthcare.partners.org/bwhintranet to obtain a nomination form.
