Grace Xi, patient care assistant on 14 CD, was the fourth recipient of the Staff of the Quarter Award. The award program, organized by the General Medical Service Division and sponsored by the hospital, recognizes staff with outstanding patient care skills. Xi was nominated for the award by her peers, who vote each quarter for the colleague on the fourteenth or ninth floor of the Tower that demonstrates the highest level of patient service.
Robert Goldszer, MD, who developed the program about a year ago, joined Maureen Curley, nurse manager on 14 CD and co-coordinator of the program, in presenting Xi with a commemorative plaque and financial bonus. In addition, a piece of framed artwork will be hung on the fourteenth floor, honoring Xi’s contributions to BWH’s mission of quality patient care.
“We understand the importance of not only recognizing excellence among our staff, but the need to set high standards,” said Patricia Brita-Rossi, nurse manager on 14 AB and co-coordinator of the program. “By constantly raising the bar, we promote the highest level of service and care for our patients.”
