Robert G. Goldszer, MD, MBA, has been appointed director of Primary Care. In his new role, Goldszer will direct the Primary Care Business Unit of the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization (BWPO) and oversee all administrative and professional areas in Primary Care. He will also work closely with Elizabeth Glaser, MD, vice president for Clinical Affairs at BWH.
Goldszer will also be engaged in the academic and teaching aspects of Primary Care and will serve as the associate chief of Primary Care for the Division of General Medicine, working closely with David Bates, MD, chief of the Division of General Medicine. In addition to his new Primary Care responsibilities, Goldszer will continue his work as associate chief medical officer for BWH, working closely with Chief Medical Officer Andy Whittemore, MD, on quality, utilization and access issues.
“Dr. Goldszer has been a leading physician administrator at BWH for the last ten years. We look forward to his wise counsel, administrative skills and strong leadership as he assumes this new role,” said Troy Brennan, MD, president and CEO, BWPO.
