Sierra Named Director of Program Development for BWH, SSH Clinical Initiatives
Elena Sierra, MS, RN, this month begins as director for program development for clinical initiatives at South Shore Hospital and BWH. In her new position, Sierra will work with the senior leadership from both BWH and SSH to create collaborative clinical programs.
“Elena made positive contributions to Women’s Health programs at BWH, and I am confident she will foster a strong connection between the Brigham and South Shore Hospital,” said Mairead Hickey, PhD, RN, chief nursing officer and senior vice president of Patient Care Services.
Sierra, who earned a master’s degree in health care services administration from Boston University, has worked at BWH as the director of Ambulatory Gynecology Programs for five years. She helped create and implement several new programs and practices, including Family Planning and Urogynecology. Also, she played a role in planning improvements in the Gynecologic-Oncology Disease Center at the DF/BW Cancer Center.
“I look forward to facilitating collaboration to reflect the strengths, mission, vision and values of BWH and SSH,” Sierra said.
