Extra Shift Parking for Nurses at MissionPark Garage
All full-time and regularly scheduled nurses who work an extra shift will be
allowed to park in the MPG (Mission Park Garage), if space is available. Per diem
nurses are only allowed to park in the MPG if they volunteer to work an extra
shift on the day they are called into work.
All nurse managers or their designees are now required to contact Gabriel Legesse
via e-mail or pager as soon as possible to identify nurses that are permitted
to park in the garage. This same process should be used when nurses are called
in early or asked to work beyond their scheduled shift. If you are requesting
access on that day – use page instead of e-mail.
A nurse who works an extra shift will be given a coupon, which must be signed
by a nurse manager, assistant nurse manager, (operations supervisor or nurse administrator
on the off-shift or by the Central Nursing Staffing Office staffing coordinator.
Coupons should also be given to nurses who are called in early or asked to work
beyond their scheduled shift for the extra hours. All nurses are to present their
coupons when leaving the garage. Nurses without a coupon must pay the full-price
parking fee and should not be parking in the garage.
