All staff are reminded to visibly wear their ID Badge. State law, hospital policy and the Joint Commission of Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards require this of all health care employees.
Properly wearing an ID badge allows patients and visitors to easily identify employees, volunteers and contractors within the hospital. It also helps Security to determine whether individuals have entered unauthorized areas. Wearing your ID badge is also critical for maintaining hospital security during emergency situations.
Staff and employees who fail to wear their ID badge will be subject to corrective action up to and including termination.
