Executive Nurse Director Title Changes to Associate Chief Nurse
BWH’s Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer Jackie Somerville, PhD, RN, announced in June that the clinical operations executive nurse director title would change to associate chief nurse.
This change reflects the role of these individuals in serving all nurses, patients and families across all of the BWH sites and for the key role they play in partnering with physicians, multidisciplinary leaders and colleagues in the design and delivery of care. It is also consistent with the titles their peers hold across the Partners entities.
The title of executive director continues to accurately reflect the programmatic work of other members of the Nurse Executive Board (NEB) and therefore will not change. Below for your information is a list of the NEB members.
