Morgan Named Assistant Nurse Manager
MacGregor Morgan, MSN, MBA, RN, in September was appointed assistant nurse manager of Shapiro 6, the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit.
As assistant nurse manager, he works with Matt Quin, BSN, RN, nurse manager, and a team of more than 100 nurses, eight patient care assistants and eight unit coordinators to ensure the best care for a diverse cardiac patient population.
Morgan joined BWH in 2005 as a staff nurse on the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. He has been a clinical intensive care unit nurse in the U.S. Army Reserve, and served as the charge ICU nurse when he was deployed to Iraq in 2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has held many staff nurse and leadership positions throughout his career at Briarwood Healthcare Center, Cambridge Health Alliance and HealthSouth Braintree, among others.
Morgan earned his MSN, MBA and BSN from Phoenix University and his associate’s degree in Nursing from Laboure College.
