Precourt Appointed Cardiovascular Access Manager
Justin Precourt, BSN, RN, former staff nurse in the Coronary Care Unit, in June was named cardiovascular access manager at BWH.
“Justin’s clinical experience in caring for cardiology patients will prove vital as he works to accelerate the admission of cardiovascular patients,” said Mary Lou Moore, MSN, RN, CCRN, director of Cardiovascular Nursing and Clinical Services.
As cardiovascular access manager, Precourt will facilitate the admission of cardiovascular patients from other hospitals to BWH. He will work closely with physicians, nurses and Admitting staff to identify a patient’s care needs, facilitate acceptance to the hospital and transfer the patient to the appropriate service line and level of care.
“I look forward to establishing and developing a program for outside physicians and patients to access the excellent cardiovascular resources available at BWH,” Precourt said.
Precourt joined BWH in 2003 as a staff nurse in the Intermediate Float Pool and then became a staff nurse in the Cardiology Inpatient Unit. Prior to joining BWH, Precourt was a travel registered nurse with American Mobile Healthcare based in San Diego. He received his BSN from Northeastern University in 1999.
