IS Update
Infusion, MS OE Systems to be Upgraded
The Computerized Physician Order Entry system in BW/F Infusion centers and the MS Center will be upgraded during the second week of September. The existing module will be replaced with a modern module that offers providers more up-to-date medication safety checks.
“This new module is more user-friendly, more efficient for care providers, and safer for our patients,” said Eric Poon, MD, MPH, IS director of Clinical Informatics.
The improved module enables providers to place a collection of orders efficiently through order sets, which can be customized easily for the spectrum of disease conditions. This tool also supports the workflow for nurses in infusion areas.
IS is leading training efforts to acquaint providers with this new module this summer. The training program is available through the Start menu on Partners builds: Start >Partners Applications >Clinical References >CBT Courses >Ambulatory Chemo Order Entry CBT
