BWH President Jeffrey Otten was recently named a member of the Society of Health Service Administrators (SHSA). Membership in the SHSA, which is limited to only 30, is a prestigious honor and members are selected on the basis of merit and “the contribution each individual makes to society as a whole.” Otten joins numerous presidents and chief executive officers of the nation’s leading hospitals, including University of Chicago Hospitals, Johns Hopkins, and Mount Sinai Medical Center, and leaders of “Fortune 500” companies such as General Electric. This exclusive group meets annually to discuss current issues in their profession and exchange information and resources concerning the health care industry.
