March is National Social Work Month
"Social Workers: We’re There When You Need Us" is the slogan chosen by the National Association of Social Workers to acknowledge the annual March celebration of this multifaceted profession. BWH’s Department of Care Coordination is staffed by 3 clinical social workers who consult on patients and families throughout the BWH and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) communities. The dynamic and challenging hospital environment allows BWH and DFCI clinical social workers to function collaboratively with medical, nursing, physical therapy, nutrition and other staff members to ensure excellence of care for all patients and their families. Please join us in saluting these valuable members of the health care team during National Social Work Month.
