Manson honored by Women's Health Leadership Forum
JoAnn E. Manson, MD, DrPH, chief, Division of Preventive Medicine, received the first annual Mary Horrigan Connors Award for Outstanding Leadership in Women's Health. Presented by the Women's Health Leadership Forum (WHLF), the award recognizes an individual who has shown outstanding leadership in the area of women's health and was established with a $25,000 grant from both the WHLF and BWH President Jeffrey Otten. The money is distributed by the winner and an advisory committee comprised of WHLF members to provide seed money for women's health projects in research, teaching, clinical or community-related. Pictured at the WHLF's annual fall dinner are, from left: Carol Nadelson, director, Office of Women's Careers; Susanne Connors Joyce, WHLF member; Manson; Jacqueline O'Neill, co-chair, WHLF; and, Andrea Dunaif, MD, director, Women's Health.
