New Rapid Rail Program Offers Commuter Incentives December 1The winter season brings many added stresses, but don’t let the commute get you down. This December, the Medical Academic and Scientific Community Organization (MASCO) is offering a new commuter incentive program, “The Rapid Rail,” that will help BWH employees save money and time. The Rapid Rail program gives employees who currently drive to work and park in the Longwood Medical Area the opportunity to try the MBTA commuter rail for a three-month trial period. MASCO will subsidize the rail pass at a rate of $65 a month, subsidize 100 percent of parking costs at the rail stations and include a complimentary one-year membership and registration fee at Zipcar if employees agree to temporarily give up their parking space during the trial period. The program launches December 1, 2001 and runs through August 31, 2002. For more information or to register as a member of “The Rapid Rail,” contact Melissa Marantz at 617-632-2796 or via email (mmarantz@masco.harvard.edu).
