To date, 135 employees have opted to forego their on-site parking privileges to support the hospital’s need to provide patients greater access to BWH.
“We recognize parking off of the hospital’s main campus may inconvenience employees, so we have worked to provide substantial benefits to ease the burden,” said Arthur Mombourquette, vice president, Support Services. “We are very grateful to those employees who have taken advantage of such benefits which include reasonable off-site parking fees and BWH’s increased MBTA subsidy,” he added.
As on-site parking fees increase by 20 percent starting October 7, off-site parking fees will remain at $16.87 per month. In addition, BWH will offer a 50 percent MBTA subsidy to its employees. This is a five percent increase from BWH’s current 45 percent subsidy.
The following are off-site parking options available to all BWH employees. All have frequent shuttle service (with recently expanded hours) to and from BWH.
Employees are reminded that vanpools are also available. For more information on how to participate in BWH vanpools servicing the Rockland, Sagamore/ Kingston and Worcester/ Shrewsbury areas, visit www.masco.org/commute works Free on-site parking is provided for vanpools.
