A Supportive Curriculum in Education and Development (ASCEND) is a team-based mentorship program in its fourth year, to which all employees are invited to apply. Team participants learn the hospital’s core leadership competencies and apply that knowledge to completing a nine-month project. Some of the projects completed in the past include developing an employee suggestion program (BEST), improving customer service and systems in Pharmacy and Radiology, and developing a process to improve patient belongings management. Interested employees or supervisors who have an employee in mind, should contact Deb Conlon or Karen Purdy-Reilly via email.
