Traffic Advisory: Boston Marathon and Red Sox Game
In the News
Monday, April 16. Both the 105th Boston Marathon and a Red Sox game at Fenway Park will take place on Patriot’s Day, Monday, April 16. Employees, patients and visitors should allow extra time when traveling to the Longwood Medical and Academic Area during mid-day. Cars are not allowed to cross the Marathon route when the road is closed, but the Bowker Overpass will be open for crossing. The MASCO M1, M3, and Midday shuttles will use alternative drop-off points between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. due to the closure of Brookline Avenue between The Fenway and Kenmore Square. The MBTA will run on a weekday schedule for subway /trolley service and Commuter Rail service. The buses will run on a Saturday schedule. As the schedules are subject to change, commuters should check with SmarTraveler at 374-1234,
