April is National Occupational Therapy Month The goal of occupational therapy is to help people achieve independence for whatever it is that “occupies” their day. These activities include everything done from getting up in the morning until going to bed at night. This year, the OT staff at BWH has highlighted their work with patients with arthritis. Patients who have been diagnosed with arthritis and who are interested in occupational therapy services are encouraged to discuss their interest with their rheumatologist and/or primary care physician. The outpatient occupational therapy department can also be reached directly at ext. 5304.
