Adrien Saks
Adrien Saks, the current administrator for the Pain Management Center, will become the administrator for General Surgical Specialties within the Department of Surgery as of next week. He will be replacing Daria Christensen, who has become the director of Academic and Research Affairs for the Department of Surgery. Saks will be running the ambulatory space on ASB II-3 as practice manager, as well as overseeing various responsibilities in the General Surgical Specialties, which include General/GI Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Burn/Trauma/Critical Care and Metabolic Support Services.
Patrick J. Bauer
Patrick J. Bauer is the new administrative director for Orthopedic Surgery, Rheumatology and the Arthritis Center. Among his new duties are financial billing matters and creating a customer service training program for all of the Department's employees. Prior to working at BWH, Bauer was the executive director of the Emerson Hospital Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) in Concord, MA. He has also worked at HMS, the New England Medical Center and Harvard Vanguard Associates.
