Letters of Thanks
To BWH:
Over the past five months, my husband has been undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. We have received extraordinary care from every person since the first phone call, through the pre-op, surgery, post-op and all follow-up appointments. As I walked alone through the hospital during those times, I found people everywhere who were welcoming, helpful and encouraging. The staff in the Bretholtz Center is also to be commended for their help – to me and others – as we waited for news of our loved ones.
To Emma Toussaint:
I was a recent cardiac patient and would like to commend the efforts of one of your patient care assistants, Emma Toussaint. She was very conscientious as she performed her duties while I was recuperating on 8A. Ms. Toussaint is a professional who was comforting, soothing and genuinely concerned about my discomfort and condition. Throughout this time, she displayed the utmost sensitivity, caring and dedication.
To the PACU Nurses:
I just had a surgery and wanted to thank all of the PACU staff for the great care I received while I was there. Because my surgery ran late and I was in severe pain, I was kept overnight in the Day Surgery area. Many, many thanks to my night nurse and the nurse who took over in the morning. You both went out of your way to make me comfortable. Although I hope I never see you folks again, it’s nice to know you are there!
