Circles, a personal concierge service launched by BWPO last year, continues to be well received. As of December 31, 2002 (six months into the program), more than 300 physicians (25 percent of eligible employees) had taken advantage of services provided. Collectively, 942 requests were made for travel, entertainment, and shopping and home services.
Quality scores are also strong with 96 percent of employees surveyed saying that having Circles as a benefit makes BWPO a better place to work. According to surveyed employees, the program saved BWPO members an average of 2.3 hours per service request—this equates to a total of 450 hours saved.
New BWPO physicians and BWH physician scientists should contact Karen Sax McLoughlin to find out if they are eligible for this service.
