OSHA Update for Staff OSHA has revised its Hazard Communication Standard to align with the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. This requires that all employees who use chemical products of any type in their work read and understand these changes by Dec. 1, 2013. The changes do NOT require any other modifications in your current safety practices. Visit BWHPikeNotes.org to read more and view a slide show about the system. For more information, call Environmental Affairs at 617-264-3010.
Flu Clinic, Vaccine Attestation BWH Occupational Health Service (OHS) will host an employee flu clinic Dec 2-4, 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., in the Tower 2 lobby next to the Shapiro Bridge. Bring your BWH ID badge and wear loose clothing. Employees are required by the Department of Public Health to document in PeopleSoft that they have received a vaccination or declined to be vaccinated. If you receive your vaccine through BWH OHS clinics or the Peer-to-Peer program, this attestation will be automatically entered for you. All other employees must log in to PeopleSoft > HRMS Production > Self Service > Personal Information > Vaccinations to document when and where they received flu vaccine, or that they have declined to be vaccinated.
Select a Primary Care Physician Currently, all BWH primary care practices (except the Phyllis Jen Center, Brigham Circle Medical Associates and Brigham and Women's/Mass General Health Care Center in Foxborough) are accepting new patients. You can view which physicians have openings at BWHPikeNotes.org. You may also call 855-244-0012, a dedicated line for BWH employees to access primary care.
