Mark your calendars for Thursday, Nov. 21, when BWH will host its second annual Research Day. BWH faculty, staff and the public are invited to attend the free, day-long event to learn about the leading-edge research happening at BWH.
The event not only gives the public a peek into the amazing discoveries of BWH researchers, but it also fosters connections with collaborators and industry, serving as a platform to recognize the achievements of the many members of the research community.
Everyone can attend various lay-friendly presentations to be held throughout the hospital on BWH Research Day. The day will feature a plenary session with hospital leadership, nine research symposia on topics ranging from Alzheimer's disease and robotic surgery to nursing research and personalized medicine. There will be a media session for researchers, featuring experienced journalists who will share their perspectives on what makes science newsworthy. Also, science posters from more than 100 BWH scientists will be displayed throughout the hospital. Paul Farmer, MD, PhD, chief of the Division of Global Health Equity and co-founder of Partners In Health, will present the keynote address, with this year's BRIght Futures Prize winner announcement to follow.
There is still time to cast your vote for the bright futures prize at bwhresearchday.partners.org/bff. to attend research day, visit bwhresearchday.partners.org/register.
