On Sept. 12, the hospital launched an ambitious $1 billion fundraising campaign-the largest in BWH history-with the theme, "Life. Giving. Breakthroughs."
"These three words evoke what we are all about," said BWH President Betsy Nabel, MD. "Our mission centers around life-discovering new treatments for disease and improving the quality of life for our patients and their families, locally and globally. We have a long-standing history of transforming the future, and we intend to build upon this remarkable foundation. To enable all that we envision, we're embarking on an important journey focused on ‘giving' that will allow us to achieve even greater heights of excellence."
