Street & Night Beat, July 18
Save the date for BWH's annual employee appreciation events, Street Beat and Night Beat. Street Beat will be held July 18, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., on the Harvard Medical School Quad located between Longwood Avenue and Shattuck Street. Night Beat will be held July 18, 11 p.m.-2 a.m., in the Cabot Atrium. Employees will receive a meal/drink coupon and T-shirt upon arriving at the events and presenting their ID badges.

Enterprise Vault
Now through summer 2014, BWH employees will gradually move to the Enterprise Vault email system, which will enable users to access and manage email without worrying about storage quotas, aka "email jail." Blood, Platelet Donations
Donations of blood, platelets, organs and bone marrow are critical to the care of our patients. BWH grants employees up to one hour of paid time off from the workday in order to donate blood or platelets at the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center. BWH also grants a paid leave of absence to employees donating organs and/or bone marrow at BWH as follows: up to seven days of paid leave for bone marrow donation, or up to 12 weeks of paid leave for organ donation. IFTAR: BREAKING OF THE FAST, July 23
Chaplaincy Services, Human Resources and the Center for Faculty Development & Diversity invite the BWH community to celebrate the Holy Month of Ramadan with an Iftar dinner and prayer service, July 23, 8-9:45 p.m. Iftar is the breaking of the fast, which occurs every day at sunset during Ramadan. The prayer service will take place on the third-floor Shapiro Porch, and dinner will be held in Cafeteria Pod B. RSVP at BWHPikeNotes.org.
MGH Institute of Health Professions
The Mind Body Spirit Nursing online certificate programs at the MGH Institute of Health Professions is offering two online certificate options: a nine-credit Certificate of Completion in Mind Body Spirit Nursing and a 15-credit Post-Master's Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS). No application process is necessary for the nine-credit certificate. Rolling admission is available for the 15-credit certificate. Classes begin Sept. 9. Learn more or register at www.mghihp.edu/mbs.
