Rock Blasting Notification
The rock removal phase of construction at 15 Francis St. is underway, and a new way to notify people in advance of the blasting noises has been put into place. Blasts are now preceded by a tone and an announcement on the hospital’s overhead speaker, which will hopefully alleviate anxiety and prevent staff, patients and visitors from being startled by the blasts. Controlled blasts will take place three times a day, once between 9 and 9:30 a.m.; once between 11:15 and 11:45 a.m.; and once between 1:45 and 2:15 p.m. For more information, visit BWHPikeNotes.org.
