Last year was a busy one for Security and Parking. The department marked several milestones, including facilitating the parking of approximately 1 million cars through the parking garage and valet services. The department also issued 10,372 new photo IDs to employees and 88,604 temporary badges to visitors.
To recognize the team’s efforts, Security and Parking hosted its annual award celebration on May 9 at the Longwood Hall in the Longwood Galleria.
The event drew staff from all services, which extend from the main campus to 221 Longwood Ave., 850 Boylston St. and One Brigham Circle.
“The dinner is a way to way say thank you for the outstanding work our Security and Parking staff provides every day,” said Robert Chicarello, director of Security and Parking.
During the ceremony, the department recognized the following staff with awards: Michael Garcia, Patient Transporter of the Year; Sean Flynn, Supervisor of the Year; Nicole Mejia, Cashier of the Year; Anthoni Delobe, ServiCenter Employee of the Year; Jean Henry, Valet of the Year; Savin Am, Customer Service Person of the Year; Shaneika Lozano, Sergeant of the Year; Brian Conley, Officer of the Year; Thomas Sanabria, Off-Site Officer of the Year; and Courtney Israel, Dispatcher of the Year.
