As part of BWH’s BluePrint celebration, BWH Bulletin features this special section to explore the past, present and future of the institution. Throughout 2013, you’ll find a new fun fact, story, photo or tradition in each issue of Bulletin.
The newly-installed Nurses' Uniform Exhibit (pictured at right) highlights historic nursing attire from the first six decades of the 20th century. Located just before the Shapiro Bridge on the Pike level of 75 Francis St., the exhibit was made possible by the generosity of collector and philanthropist Frederic A. Sharf, a long-time BWH friend and donor. Included are nurse uniforms from the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing and Lasell College, as well as British nursing uniforms circa World War II. Part of BWH's BluePrint celebration, the exhibit is a collaboration with Lasell College's Fashion Department.
