In This Issue:
50 years of waiting. Two days of celebrating.
Could our predecessors predict the future? Find out at Time Capsule Tuesday, May 7, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in Bornstein Amphitheater and via webcast. BWH leaders will read letters from their 1963 counterparts, which were sealed in the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital time capsule 50 years ago.
Find out what life was like at the hospital back then and what issues were important to our predecessors. How has our institution evolved, and what values have remained constant through the years? All employees are welcome to attend. A reception will follow in the Cabot Atrium.
Then, travel back to when the time capsule was sealed at the BluePrint Bash, a 1960s-themed extravaganza to celebrate the Brigham’s banner BluePrint year and our rich history of transforming the future. Join us on May 9 at 6 p.m. at the Park Plaza Castle, where a live band will take you from the 60s to Motown and the British Invasion, and prizes will be awarded for grooviest attire. Any BWH employee whose birthday is May 30—the day the time capsule was sealed—is invited to attend for free by emailing Katie Kilkelly at kkilkelly@partners.org. Learn more at BWHPikeNotes.org.
