New Policies for Mobile Devices
As of Jan. 29, only Partners-approved mobile devices are allowed to connect to Partners email. Non-compliant devices will be blocked from accessing email. Compliant devices are encrypted and secured with a five-character PIN or pass code. To see if your device is compliant, visit helpdeskselfservice.partners.org/phones/handhelds_sla.aspx. Chinese New Year, Feb. 4
The BWH community will celebrate the Chinese New Year with food, music and more, Feb. 4, noon-1:30 p.m., on the second-floor mezzanine by the Shop on the Pike. The event, which is open to all, will be hosted by Chaplaincy, Human Resources, Interpreter Services and the Center for Faculty Development and Diversity.
MLK Celebration, Feb. 15
Dr. Carol R. Johnson, superintendent of Boston Public Schools, will be the keynote speaker during the celebration of the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Feb. 15, 3-4 p.m., in the Bornstein Amphitheater. A reception will follow in the Cafeteria Pod B. All are welcome to attend.
No Flu Zone
It’s not too late to get immunized. Free flu vaccinations are available in the Occupational Health Services Neville Clinic, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. every day, except Wednesdays when the clinic is closed from noon-1:30 p.m. Unit based peer-to-peer vaccination programs continue. Don’t forget to practice proper hand hygiene as well.
Partners eCare
Brigham and Women’s Health Care will be the first entity within Partners to begin deployment of eCare, with full implementation by 2015. Crisis Resources Update
Emergency Management asks BWH departments to take responsibility for updating their printed copies of the 2013 Crisis Resource Manual (CRM) and Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).
