Ellen Gilmore joined BWH Human Resources last month as director of Organizational Effectiveness.
In this role, Gilmore oversees the Organizational Development and Learning team and Workforce Development, and is responsible for developing practices that support BWH’s strategic commitment to an engaged workforce.
“When you think about the entire cycle of applying for a position at BWH, going through the interview process, joining a team, attending orientation and beginning in a new role, a new employee’s experience with each of these steps influences how engaged he or she will be,” said Gilmore. “Part of my job is helping employees and their managers develop their relationship. This relationship impacts the employee’s engagement level, which ultimately affects the patient and family experience.”
Prior to joining BWH, Gilmore worked as the director of Engagement for Human Resources at Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts & Sciences. She received her bachelor’s degree in Math and Computer Science from Regis College and her master’s in Training and Development from Lesley University.
