All Employees Invited to Attend In Person or Online
Earlier this year, many BWHers indicated via the Employee Opinion Survey that senior leaders at BWH are not accessible enough. BWH President Betsy Nabel, MD, and other senior leadership heard the message, and are inviting all BWH employees to attend and participate in the first “Town Meeting: An Open Forum for BWHers,” Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. in Bornstein Amphitheater. The meeting will also be streamed live via a web link to employees’ computer work stations.
“We take feedback from this survey very seriously and are addressing areas that employees have identified for improvement,” said Nabel. “This new meeting forum is just one of the ways we will ensure our staff and employees can better engage with senior managers.”
The meeting will begin with a brief State of the Hospital address from Nabel, followed by a question and answer period. After the Dec. 8 pilot meeting, leadership will host additional forums in 2011 during off-hour shifts to ensure that all employees have the opportunity to participate.
“Whether you have a question or an idea about how to provide better service to our patients and visitors, your feedback is important to me and other members of our leadership team,” said Nabel. “Your input will allow us the opportunity to serve you better, and together, we can make the Brigham an even better place to work and receive care. I look forward to seeing you at the Town Meeting.”
