Michael Zinner and Jessica Dudley perform with the Pops.
The spirit of friendly competition fueled the 12th annual Partners Night at the Pops in June, as physicians from throughout Partners performed a humorous version of “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better” with the Boston Pops Orchestra at Symphony Hall.
BWH’s Michael Zinner, MD, chief of Surgery, and Jessica Dudley, MD, chief medical officer of the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization, Pardon Kenney, MD, chief of Surgery at Faulkner Hospital, and PCHI’s George Clairmont, MD, of Internal Medicine, sang catchy, customized lyrics of the tune along with a team of their counterparts at MGH, Newton-Wellesley and North Shore Medical Center. The teams reunited as they honored Partners President and CEO James Mongan, MD, who retires at the end of this year.
The performance was part of an annual event to celebrate Partners physicians. Conductor Keith Lockhart led the Pops in selections from “Oklahoma!,” “South Pacific,” “The Sound of Music,” “Carousel” and “The King and I” to honor American composer Richard Rodgers. Nearly 1,000 Partners physicians and their guests attended the celebration, which is sponsored by John Hancock Financial.
