BWH was recognized by the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MAED) with a silver award for community involvement and job creation, stemming from its $360 million investment in the new Carl J. and Ruth Shapiro Cardiovascular Center. MAED is a non-profit organization that works with state partners and more than 50 private sector members to encourage the expansion and retention of businesses within Massachusetts.
