Craig Nesta, JD, MBA, was named department administrator of Neurosurgery this fall. In his new role, Nesta is responsible for the department’s administrative and clinical activities.
“I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity,” said Nesta, who previously was administrative director of the Division of Plastic Surgery. “I look forward to working with colleagues in and outside the department to provide exceptional care and service to our patients while promoting a dynamic research and educational environment.”
“We are very excited about Craig assuming this leadership role,” said Sanjay Pathak, vice president for Surgical Services and Imaging. “Neurosurgery has a rich history here at BWH, and we look forward to his proven leadership and management skills to continue the successes of the department.”
Nesta earned a bachelor’s degree from Babson College, a JD from Suffolk Law School, an MBA from the Barney School of Business and Public Administration at the University of Hartford and a master’s degree from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
In addition, he is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives, a certified medical practice executive in the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a certified healthcare financial professional with the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
