BWH has got the beat—Street Beat, that is, and it’s coming to the 15 Francis St. driveway on Thursday, July 24, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Here’s what’s in store for BWH’s annual summer event.
Dunk a colleague. Try your arm at the dunk tank and sink one of your BWH colleagues volunteering to support a great cause. Each throw is $1 and benefits the United Way.
Cheer on BWH Idol finalists. Five musically talented BWHers will take to the stage and compete live for a grand prize of $500 and the coveted BWH Idol title.
Meet an American Idol. Simon, Randy and Paula won’t be here, but American Idol Ruben Studdard will sign autographs and perform two sets of songs.
Help Those in Need. Bring gently used clothes and nonperishable foods, such as canned goods, to Street Beat. United Way will distribute all donations to those in need in the community.
Also this year, 850 Boylston St. will host a mini Street Beat on July 30, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., where employees can see performances by BWH Idol contestants and peruse food and craft vendors. On July 25, Street Beat returns for the evening shift, and employees can pick up T-shirts and a Cafeteria coupon.
Be sure to check that your address in PeopleSoft is updated. Street Beat coupons, which entitle you to a T-shirt, a $5 meal coupon and a beverage, are being mailed to your home.
