Denis Mukwege, MD, comes to BWH from the Panzi Hospital in Eastern Congo, to present “The Dynamics of Sexual Violence in the Congo: Experiences from the Panzi Hospital,” April 7, 5 p.m., Bornstein Amphitheater. Panel discussion by the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative Research Team on gender-based violence follows.
There will be rolling, one-hour partial power shutdowns throughout main campus Sunday, April 6, 10 p.m. to Monday, April 7, at 6 a.m. as BWH completes a necessary upgrade to its electrical systems. Power will be available from red emergency outlets. Similar rolling, partial power outages are planned for overnight hours on April 19 and 27. BWH’s seventh annual Take Our Children to Work Day is Thursday, April 24, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Employees interested in participating must pre-register by April 18.
