Don’t delay! Everyone with a BWH ID is required to get a new ID badge with an updated photo and signature beginning in March.
Stop by the lower level Cabot Atrium at 45 Francis St., anytime day or night, beginning Sunday, March 9, at 6 a.m., through Saturday, March 22, at midnight. You must bring your old badge. If you are new to BWH, lost your badge or do not have a current badge, go to the ID Office in Neville House, open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Security also will be on site at many locations throughout the distributed campus in March and April for rebadging. Visit www.bwhpikenotes.org/ID.asp for a schedule.
Why the need for new badges?
BWH Security is upgrading card readers. The new badges will be smart cards that you hold up to readers instead of swiping them.
BWH is adopting a new color coding system for ID badges to enhance safety for patients and staff.
Please note: your new badge will not work for about a day because time is needed to transfer your current access data to your new ID. For that period of time, you can use your old badge.
