Melissa Farrelly, HR’s director of Recruitment, and Jabbar R. Bennett, PhD, administrative director for the Office for Multicultural Faculty Careers, represented BWH earlier this month at the fifth annual “Making a Difference in Our Community” forum. The event drew more than 200 Boston-area leaders from schools, businesses, foundations, government and community-based organizations together to explore solutions to the education and workforce challenges facing men of color.
Bennett was one of three panelists who addressed workforce and education challenges of black and Latino males, and Farrelly served as a roundtable moderator after a panel discussion on Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI).
Jobs for the Future, a nonprofit research, consulting and advocacy organization, holds the forum annually in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.
