Fatima Asfandyar Al-Zarouni and Nouf Khamis Al-Ali, students from Harvard Medical School Dubai Center (HMSDC) Institute for Postgraduate Education and Research, last month interned at BWH’s Kessler Health Education Library.
The HMSDC Institute for Postgraduate Education and Research runs a training program for select students from the Sharjah campus of the Higher Colleges of Technology. Al-Zarouni and Al-Ali joined four other students in June traveling to Boston to participate in four-week internships at various hospitals affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
At Kessler, Al-Zarouni and Al-Ali presented on health education in the United Arab Emirates using a three-dimensional display that incorporated books, photos and information. The display is exhibited in the Bretholtz Center throughout July. They also donated a children’s book and an adult health education book in Arabic to the library.
